After 30+ years of retail buying experience with companies such as Sainsbury’s, M&S and Soho House, I wanted to bring my creative skills into a more affordable and sustainable market. I’ve always had a love for “older things”: classic cars, 80’s movies, 90’s music, electronics and mid-century furniture, and I was amazed at how many ‘older/vintage’ household items are being sent to landfill, that have so much more life left in them.

So in 2021 when the opportunity arose I took a leap, set up ‘TVW’ and 3 years on the business is still going strong.

Having recently expanded to larger premises (2023), I can now offer and display a broader selection of household items & also a wide range of upholstery fabric through ‘The Fabric Fella’ a new addition to the business, where we offer end of season rolls of quality fabric at heavily reduced prices!

We also offer additional services for your re-upholstery needs, from recovering dining chair seat pads through to a full sofa reupholster!

Why buy FROM US?

We are constantly on the search for cool vintage items that have been pre loved, are unwanted or have been replaced, broken, stored away and forgotten or neglected. We can revive them with a quick sand and re oil perhaps, or by adding a modern twist to a sofa/chair with some new fresh upholstery fabric.

It’s just my opinion, but Vintage items, no matter what category, have always had such excellent craftsmanship, design, colour, finish and even sound! It’s criminal that so much gets destroyed and sent into landfill every year. So that’s my goal, to try and rescue these once magnificent items from a doomed fate, send them back out for many more years to be enjoyed, and hopefully make a small dent in the huge ‘eco’ issues we are all currently facing!
